What Medical Terminology is Covered?
The course comes with a textbook that includes all the basic medical terminology used in medical transcription today. The course covers all the basic specialties including; Dermatology, Urology, Gastroenterology, Cardiology, Pulmonary Medicine, Endocrinology, Orthopedics, Obstetrics-Gynecology, Otorhinolaryngology, Ophthalmology, Neurology, Psychiatry, Pathology, and Radiology.
The medical terminology is broken up into 17 chapters and discussed at the appropriate times specific to what area of study is being discussed. At the end of each chapter you will find a glossary of medical terminology specific to that medical discipline like cardiology, radiology, orthopedics etc. There is no need for a separate medical dictionary. All the books that are needed to pass the course are included.
