Now That You're Trained, Get On The Job Hunt

Once you complete your medical transcription training you'll need to start looking for a job. But where do you start?

The first place to start is with your resume. You need to write one. Then you need to add it to the employment job bank. Future MT offers a Job Assistance Program that is free for all graduates of the online medical transcription course. After you complete your training we'll send your resume out to our list of employers and they will contact you if they have an opening. But I wouldn't stop there.

You need to be proactive in looking for a job. Don't wait for it to come to you.

There are other medical transcription job boards online that you can submit your resume to. But you should also contact local medical service companies, hospitals, physicians offices, doctors and medical transcription companies. Submit your resume to them along with your qualifications for the job and make sure they understand that you have your training as a medical transcriptionist. If you have a certification then make sure they know that too.

Finding a job as a medical transcriptionist is not hard. There is some competition, but if you are well trained, qualified and a good job applicant then you'll have no problem getting your first job.
