Computer requirements can be tricky. If you are considering the Future MT medical transcription training course then you should make sure your computer meets the following minimum requirements:
- Windows 2000 / XP / VISTA / Windows 7
- Pentium-class processor, 500 MHz or higher
- 128 MB RAM
- 1024 x 768 pixel screen resolution
- Color monitor running "Thousands of Colors" or higher
- CD-ROM drive
- Sound card
- Speaker jack to attach a headset.
- Internet Explorer 5.0, Firefox 2.0, or other Web browser to access Web sites
- USB port (1.0 or 2.0) or 15-Pin Game Port to attach the foot pedal included with this course
With these minimum requirements, almost anyone will be able to take the online medical transcription training. Future MT does not currently have a MacIntosh program equivalent. But the course does include the following materials:
- Textbook
- CD-ROM
- USB Foot Pedal
- Live Mentoring
