MTs in other countries

There are many companies that hire medical transcriptionists other than healthcare facilities. These companies sometimes allow you to work from home and some of them only employ work-from-home MTs. Some of these companies have regulations and restrictions based on if the MT is located in the United States while others simply do not care where you are located.

The companies that do allow MTs to work for them that are outside the US must still follow the law regarding working with a VISA. Having a VISA is required by the USA in order to work here. Of course, no matter what country you are from, training is a very inportant part of being a medical transcriptionist.
