Medical Transcriptionist Position Available in York, PA at the Greenway Tech Building
About the Position: Under general to minimal supervision, candidate will transcribe a variety of medical reports, notes and other data from the recorded dictations of physicians and other healthcare providers.
Duties:
- Transcribes recorded material which includes reports, discharge outlines, and patient medical history.
- Must prioritize current dictations by urgency or by a timeline as well as log dictations to avoid lost or missing files or reports.
- Candidate must verify the accuracy of the patient’s information like their name, hospital number, location in hospital and patient file location.
- Keeps track of report numbers and a line count for each day.
- Sends final reports to selected persons for approval and signature.
Required Skills: Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology; Typing 60+ wpm; Excellent computer skills
Required Experience: Graduate of Medical Transcription program
