One of the most important aspects of a medical transcriptionist's job is correcting bad grammar. That's why it is extremely important for you to be an excellent communicator, orally and in writing. But especially with written communication.
Future MT goes to great pains to ensure that you know your grammar. We are not grammar teachers. We are here to teach you medical transcription, but that does include the use of grammar so a good part of your online medical transcription course training will be in the rudiments of grammar.
When you become a skilled technician in the fundamentals of your profession it will show through in everything you do. That's why we work so hard to train you in the basics of the medical transcription profession and that includes grammar. Many of the dictation reports that you will be responsible for creating will not come to you with materials that make it easy to transcribe. You will need to correct spelling, grammar and much more. The better skilled you are in the fundamentals of grammar the more you can expect to be paid for your skills.
